Jason Luburgh was in 7th place when Travis Spader collided into the rear of his YFZ450 which locked the two machines together which sent the pair back to 15th place seperating their machines, which took away the possiblilty that Luburgh would be a in podium position

By the end of the 1st lap, John Natalie Jr had already passed both Brown and Jones, and he made his move on the leader, Joe Byrd through the "Supercross Six"
As Natalie makes his pass on Byrd, he gives him a look over the shoulder as the crowd goes wild along the track.

Pat Brown was able to secure the 3rd spot ahead of Jeremiah Jones with Doug Gust maintaining the 5th Spot.
Pro Rookie, #161 Jeremy Lawson, was off to a great start after passing Kory Ellis and moving into 6th place.

By the 3rd lap, John Natalie Jr had started to pull a several second lead over Bryd in 2nd place with Brown and Jones continuing to battle for position.

Gust continued to hold down the 5th spot with Kory Ellis moving back in behind him after passing Lawson. #19 Jason Dunkelberger remained in 8th place, but dropped back to 13th by the end of the lap.

Bad Luck struck for the Lawson as he his charge would come to an end in the 3rd lap and he spent the rest of the race watching.

By the beginning of the 6th lap, Natalie Jr had developed a significant lead over Byrd in 2nd Place, and he didn't show any signs of slowing down.
