Matt Hanna super aggressive riding style caused himself to get stuck early in the 1st lap trying to make a pass, which actually aloud me to catch pass him as I began to pick off riders one by one.
Matt Hanna would charge up behind me and made a daring pass on me and Salvatore Costantion as Matt bumped wheels with Sal making the pass. I too would go onto pass Sal and catch up to Jarrod McClure and Will Cashioin running along in a train of about 5 stock class riders. I made the decision to a line through a puddle and passed all five at one shot as I started making up some time.
By the end of the 1st lap, I worked my way up to 17th and hit the MX track in the top 15 and made the pass on Stefanie Verkade over a jump then the next double I cleared the Z400 stalled. It started right up, but it would only idle and would shut off if I gave it any gas. Brandon Sommers ran over and tried to help to get it running, but we could only figure it was something in the carb or electrical, so my day was over :(
I went into phase two early, grabbed my camera and head out and started taking some photos :D

Wayne Shay was running strong on his YFZ in third place, but I was shocked to see he never had goggles on from the beginning of the race:confused:
He would ended up nevering completing the last lap for unkown reasons, but I hope it wasn't related to his eyes because it was extremely dusty.

Mark Rhodes had a good battle going on with Wayne for the 3rd as swapped positions several times before Wayne pulled into his pits at the beginning of the 4th lap, which put Mark in 3rd Overall.

Matthew Edens also picked up a spot with Wayne out of the race and moved up to 4th less than 15 seconds behind Mark Rhodes.
Dave Heider also dropped out of the race in 6th place after 3 laps which allowed the hard charging Matt Hanna to move all the way up to 6th place after dropping back to around 25th place early in the 1st lap.

By the end of the last lap, Billy Good remained out front, but he was beginning to slow down as he did in Florida which costed him the win, but that wouldn't be the case this time as he went on to win.

Mark Rhodes made the pass on Chris Neal and moved into 2nd Place with 30 seconds of Billy Good as Mark put in the fastest last lap time of any morning rider with a 29:09 lap time which was over a minute faster than Billy Good's:macho
Atleast someone for Carroll County, MD would make it on the Podium:D
