Celebration time!!!
Just when you thought it was time to go home, the riders in the Pro class were surprised by a formal protest had been lodged by Doug Gust against Tim Farr for engine displacement. Due to the fact that it affects the entire class depending on the outcome, many riders elected to receive their checks in the mail once the results were considered final. Farrs machine along with Mark Baldwin make their way to the tear down location. Tom Carlson would measure and claim that the machine was found legal with 449cc displacement.
After it was all said and done the event, Farrs win and the long day in the rain were one for the record books.
