Out n the course, the young riders were riding extremely well on a very well laid out youth course!
In areas that could pose a problem, volunteer course workers were on hand to assist when needed, and they were not shy about getting in there and lending a hand!
It is so amazing to watch the young racers work with others when there is a problem. They remain silent and without a word being said flow through a problem. Anyone who doesnt race, you really should hit a few and catch the action first hand as it is a sight to see!
Back up top, racers were clocking in and heading out for another lap or switching riders.
On the course, it was becoming clear who was going to take charge as the laps were scored.
The track started to wear in and the speeds came up. Riding skill now was taking over as the race wore on.
Keeping warm was still job #1
In sections, alot of caution would be needed as the track remained slick
Keeping things rolling and pushing forward as a few of the jump sections were encountered
High speed woods sections gave the young racers a chance to open it up!
