Jeremiah Jones was also still on his own mission to move to the front as he passed Tavis Cain and moved into 4th place behind Joe Byrd.
Unfortunately, Jason Luburgh's YFZ quit on him as he went through the "Ten Commandments" which prevented him from finishing the race, which was disappointing after charging so hard through the race and working his way up to 4th place.
With Jason out of the race, Keith Little advanced to 6th place with Dustin Wimmer, Harold Goodman, Pat Brown, and Kory Ellis rounding out the top 10.
With the white flag out, Doug Gust remained out front with a comfortable lead as Tim Farr and Joe Byrd battled for the 2nd spot.
Joe Byrd makes the pass on Tim Farr and moves into 2nd place for his best finish yet this year, and Joe did it in front of his hometown crowd! Joe Byrd lives only a little over an hour away from Loretta's, and he won the overall here last year, so with a 2nd Place finish in the 1st Moto. His oppurtunity for a repeat was definitely looking good if he could finish in front of Gust in the 2nd Moto.
Jeremiah Jones race to the front stopped in 4th place behind Tim Farr, and Tavis Cain went on to finish 5th.
Keith Little finished out his 1st Moto in 6th Place with Dustin Wimmer, Harold Goodman, Pat Brown, and Kory Ellis rounding out the top 10.

After the 1st moto, I took a walk around the pit areas to check out what was going on. I ran across this Toyota Tacoma full to capacity with a quad and race gear, which I thought was awesome to see. Obviously, you don’t need a fancy trailer to get to the races.
With the river running right along the pit area, I found several children playing in the water to cool off.
