Joe Byrd had his DASA powered Honda in the wind as he railed the first turn leading the pack of riders all wanting to put him behind them!

Spader and Tait collided causing Tait to hit the ground hard. After a few minutes in the dirt he was finally carried off the track to await medical treatment. Thankfully he was just battered and bruised and would be able to return to competition for the second moto. The wreck set up a red flag and the riders were re-gated for another start
