The morning race exposure is dominated by the Women's class, and rightfully so. The chance for companies to back the nations fastest women and grab exposure for them in what has always been considered a "mans" sport is and has been growing for several years. Traci Cecco and Stephanie Parton are household names in the atv world and have become the two riders with the biggest targets on their back at every race as the entire field behind them wants to beat them and get on the coveted podium.
Kristen Atwell was ready for her second GNCC event of the year. Kristen finished 11th at the Georgia round. The ballance brothers may battle it out in the Pro class, but the Atwell's get to handle the morning family fued when the green flag drops!
The Utility classes are stealing some of the ladies thunder this season, as series sponsor Can AM has an overwhelming presence at each event and has stocked the ranks with talented riders all looking to put the women racers and everyone else behind them.
Can Am's top gun in the 4x4 Open class is Rick Cecco, who has been riding extremely hard to get his Can AM upfront this season. Unfortunatley, it has been small issues that have kept him from the podium.
Other Can AM riders prepared themselves as the minutes ticked away before the start
In the Super Senior class (50+) there is one name everyone knows and that is Polaris rider John Gallagher. This season had yet to see the cagey veteran with a class win and this round could offer him the course needed to allow him to pilot his Outlaw to the front and get back on top of his game.

I was out of ear shot of the announcer, but there was no mistaking the roar as the Womans class came to life and worked to the first turn
Traci Cecco was out front as the class hit the woods
The women tend to be "slightly" more refined in their approach to the woods. With two hours of racing ahead of them, there is no need to end the day early by taking out the first tree they encounter!
Parton trails Cecco as the duo head off into the woods.
