In the Pro Am Class, Scott Barron maintained his lead with Joshua Ribley only a few seconds behind him followed by Rob Hertz, Sean Neidlinger, and Jeffrey Pickens rounding out the top 5.
Early in the second lap, Chris Jenks was able to take over the lead followed by his teammate Bryan Cook in second place.
Bill Ballance dropped back to third place and was taken it very easy over the jumps to avoid jarring his leg anymore than he needed, which was definitely costing him some time on the high speed mx section of the track.
William Yokley was holding back one bit on the MX course as he launched full speed over the jumps catching some descent air for a XC guy as he held down he 4th spot only a few seconds behind Ballance.
Roughly 10 seconds behind Yokley was Bryan Baker up to fifth place followed by Houston back to 6th and Brandon Ballance in 7th racing tire to tire.
Santo Derisi moved up one spot to 8th after passing Johnny Gallagher who dropped back to 9th place and almost a minute behind Derisi.
Andy Lagzdins was quickly moving through the pack as he picked up three positions in the second lap along with a 5 foot long stick dragging behind him as he was obviously using some alternative lines to make his way through the pack.
Lagzdins was less than 2 seconds behind Gallagher in 9th as he rounded out the top 10 with Thomas Barrett dropping back to 11th place.
By the end of the second lap, the battle still was still on between Barron and Ribley for the Pro Am Class with Barron maintaining the slightest lead over Ribley with Adam McGill moving quickly through the pack from 8th up to 3rd place and only 12 seconds behind the pair out front with Rob Hertz dropping back to fourth followed by Pickens.
Sean Neidlinger skidded all the way back to tenth place
By the third lap, it was time for many of the Pros to head into the pits for fuel and some fresh goggles.
With Chris Jenks maintaining the lead, Bryan Cook headed into the pits for quick fuel stop with his crew making quick work of the fuel stop and getting him going again to maintain his second place position.
Next into the pits were Ballance and Yokley back to back as the pair pulled in for a pit stop.
Yokley got the jump out of the pits first, but not before Brandon Ballance would make he pass and moving into third after he decided not to pit this lap with Ballance already in the pits with Yokley dropping back to fourth with Bill Ballance pulling out right behind him, but as he reached to pull is his rolloff string. He realized that the rolloff canisters wasn’t installed on the goggles, so he would either have to turnaround or risk running the lap with no rolloffs.
