There were only five riders in this Heat after #79 Shane Smith went to hospital after his wreck in practice and another rider signed up for the class by mistake.

The Start had #2 Darin Ogden putting his FTZ powered Honda TRX450R out front ahead of #4 Tim Farr followed by #112 Adam Anderson, #27 Brad Riley, and #9 Lee Reineccius.

Darin Ogden would lead the Heat from start to finish to earn himself atleast a top three pick for the Main.

Tim Farr would go on to finish in 2nd place after applying some pressure to Ogden early in the race

Brad Riley would make the last lap pass on Adam Anderson to take over the 3rd spot.

Brad Covington would once again today put his YFZ450 out front early with the Holeshot with #43 Scott Morris out running #67 Daryl Rath to take over the 2nd spot behind Covington.

#38 Eric Jennings was back to last place struggling to keep his practice quad planted after his Race YFZ blew its engine early in the weekend.

Brad Covington remained unchallenged for the lead with him taking the final heat win.

#43 Scott Morris with his new DASA, Dan Lamey, engine would finish in 2nd Place behind Covington.

#67 Daryl Rath would finish out the Heat in 3rd place.

#708 Harold Goodman would finished in 4th place after only making a last lap pass on Chuckie Creech to pick up one position, which wouldn't be enough to keep him off the second row for the start of the Main.
