Andy Lagzdins passed Bryan Cook in pits on the last lap and was able to finish the race in 9th place.
Bryan Cook made it very clear what he thought of the muddy conditions.
shortly afterwards he was forced to stop and find an alternative line to avoid several riders stuck on the side of a slick. The crowd directed him to turn right and try the further down which he ended up doing after waiting several seconds.
Bryan ended up getting stuck on the last lap and dropped back to 10th place to finish the race.
Jeff Stoess wasted no time going up the slick hill on his ATK, and he made it with ease. One thing for sure wass that his quad was extremely loud with the cracked headpipe and easily surpassed any sound guidelines.
The purpose of the sound testing was to keep down the noise level yet Jeff was allowed to continue racing with a quad that was producing sound levels well above the 104db limit. Also, I saw several other quads on the course without silencers at all which were extremely loud.
Frank Grimplin rode his way to a 11th place finish.
With the Checkered flag flying, William Yokley headed across the last portion of the MX track to earn himself the overall win with no other racer in sight.
William Yokley was extremely happy to be back on the Podium again especially with the Overall Win. His last Overall win was at the 1st round of the season.
Over five minutes later, Matt Smiley made his way to the Podium to claim the 2nd Overall award, which was his 5th this year.
The mud machine himself, Chad Duvall, once again found himself on the podium after and extremely muddy race. Chad is undoubtly one of the most successful mud racers in the GNCC series. At last years Millfield mud fest, he finished 2nd overall behind Bill Ballance and also finished 3rd overall at the Sparta this year.
Bryan prepares some paper towels for Chad to clean the mud out of his eyes and off his face before accepting his third overall award!
These three guys had alot to celebrate about after finishing such a nasty race.
