2008 Honda ATV Model Information

I think I just threw up a litte!!!

400EX: Same ol, Same ol. Instead of BNG, it's BNP: Bold New Plastics If you look at the white/black version, the black parts look like wings on an airplane.

700: Is that front piece supposed to be some type of collander? Too much plastic, they've even got plastic down in front of the motor. What a pain to work on it would seem. Looks like a mini quad on steroids. Like a big 'ol blob.

Big Red: No comparison to the original Big Red. Looks like it's aimed at the Ranger/Mule and not the Razr/Rhino.

Those are really dissapointing I mean I love honda but that Rhino wannabe is the ugliest thing I have seen!

Wonder who will do the first 700XX motor to 450R frame swap???

Although it probably won't be easy with the center chain drive BS.

Looks like some of the Honda guys must
of Quit and started working for Yamaha
a few years back. Because these new
guys making Hondas must be on glue
or fresh out of school.
Not looking good for Honda this year!!!!!!

back in the 80's honda made a 200cc something that had a huge truck in the back you can fit a person in it.
they where in dealerships for 3 year they only made
1 year..........that what is going to happen to the
BIG RED
500lb 700 XX ???????

OK........


1. The 400ex looks good, in a YFZ kinda way. I hope they NEVER change the 400ex engine wise. They should of put a cheap set of rezzy shocks on it just so kids wouldn't be ashamed to ride it.


2. The UTV.......who cares..........they are ALL lame. Well the Jap ones at least.


3. The 700, oh how I have waited for you my dear......every year up at midnight..........wanting to be there the second you were released. Now I find myself just waiting for your replacement.

Actually, I would have bought the first one had you put a solid axle on it and..............had KTM not dropped the dream quad on the market.

Don't worry about the front plastic. Once you take the Dremel to it it will look like a 2nd generation 400ex on roids.

Lastly, If this were a Yamaha and they had to name it, they would of called it the DUMBO 700.

It might be easier than you think the center drive chain is done with a jackshaft type of gear box (probably good for 10 too 20 extra lbs on the 700XX)

I just called Maier, they said they already have a race front end available. It's $750. And NOBODY will complain.


If you need plastic for any ATV, you better order now. Cuz Maier will be running 3 shifts on every line to keep up with demand.

it looks like the 700 wont look to bad if you unbolt those big black fenders.


im kinda dissapointed though..
