The race wasnt even 2 laps in and already we were getting reports that the Pro class was having issues with lappers. Last year it was dust, this year it could come down to lapped riders.

Pro riders getting jammed up is not how anyone wants a race to be, but it is a fact of life in the GNCC's

I had set up on a corner to catch the Pro's the next lap but got blocked and couldnt get the shots. (Joe Borich and Jimmy are to blame:devil: :blah: )
I went to the Pro pit area next to try and see what was happening and get to a spot where I could pick up a bit of race info from the announcer.

Keeping an ear for the Pro's and an eye on the rest of the field, I suddenly noticed how hot it had become. The humidity was up and temps in the upper 80's had me feeling more like I had been racing instead of taking pictures. The dust was not the big issue it was last year and it was not quite as hot so I will say the weather did not effect the racing :p It did help lemonade sales I am happy to report.

Bryan Baker came around the corner with Chris Borich damn near hooked to his grab bar. They went out of sight in the same fashion. Baker went on to hold and took the 3rd spot!
Borich would have to settle for 4th which I know did not make him happy. You don't settle for anything less then the top spot when you are at his level.

From the looks of Brandons bumper i would have to say he planted himself somewhere along the 10 mile course. Finishing only 3 laps, Brandon would finish in the 17th spot

Santo Derisi has been riding consistant, but not placing where he would like. The Wisp round has Santo finishing in 8th and at the Stomp he was looking to better his finishing spot. 10th was all he could grab on this day.
