Chris Borich was next to make the pass on Jenks on the MX track and within less than 1/2 mile Jenks dropped back to third place out of the lead
Over 1 minute later, William Yokley entered the MX track and was looking to try to close the gap on Jenks and take over that final podium spot with less than two laps to go.
Santo Derisi would move up into the 5th spot with Matt Smiley dropping back to 6th after getting stuck in the slit pond at the beginning of the lap, but he was quickly able to move back within in striking distance
#11 Michael Houston was back to 7th early in the lap, but Houston would go on to pass both Derisi and Smiley moving up to 5th by the end of the lap with Smiley moving in behind Houston.
By the end of the third lap, Brandon Ballance had worked his way up to 9th behind Andy Lagzdins.
#23 Bryan Baker remained in 10th place heading into the 4th lap.
Greg Trew was back in the race a lap down and trying to get in atleast some laps to prepare him for the next round in North Carolina.
By the 8 mile marker of lap 4, Bill Ballance remained in the lead with Chris Borich chasing after his trail of dust as they pulled away from Chris Jenks in third.
With each passing lap, the ruts became deeper and deeper and more and more riders found themselves stuck. As Bill and Chris approach one of the many mud holes they were forced to quickly find a line through the mud as some riders became so stuck they needed to be pulled out my course workers with Utility machines.
By the time Jenks came through the section, the stuck YFZ was pulled off the track to free up another line which Chris Jenks utilized as he continued his charge in 3rd place.
