Bryan Cook remained in 6th Place, and wasn't gaining any ground on the top five.
Todd Knippenberg moved into 7th place almost a minute behind Cook when #14 Jeff Stoess was left sitting in the woods when his rear sprocket was destroyed by the rocks, which dropped Jeff from finishing 7th to 16th.
#10 Brandon Ballance was definitely on the charge after he put in the third fastest third lap, and he moved himself up to 8th Place:macho
#15 Andy Lagzdins pit crew quickly changed out his rear linkage, and Andy was able to complete all four laps and move back up to 13th in the Pro Class and 42 Overall, which is impressive after taking a 10 minute break to fix his linkage.
With Bill Ballance cruising in for his 7th Overall this year and Matt Smiley in chase, the battle for the final podium spot became intense as William Yokley lead Chris Borich through the last stretch of fields along the slopes to the finish line.
With only a few turns to go, Chris Borich managed to cut on William's inside and make the pass to finish third overall!
The Three riders involved in the controversy at the Patriot all found themselves sitting securely and cleaningly on the Podium at the Wisp only two weeks later!
I could tell during the race that these three riders were on a mission to prove that they didn't need to bypass bottlenecks to win races, and they proved it in grand fashion!
Bill Ballance gave a thumbs up after a hard race!
I don't think I have ever saw Matt Smiley smile so much after finishing 2nd to Bill Ballance:cool: It was obvious that he had alot to smile about and to prove!
This Week Chris Borich never gave up or slowed down at the end, and he proudly held up his third overall plate!
