For the 1st time in WORCS 7 year history, a meeting between the promoter and the Sunday mini youth parents, the majority opted to have a make up race at round 2 and spare the riders, and there quads from what would most certainly spell disaster, and many riders to DNF due to the steady down pour on Sunday .
Area towns were experiencing flash flooding and the track course was about the same!
These are trails that SHOULD have been ran for the adult classes, but a quick re-routing was promted as the trails were 3 ft deep some areas.:eek2:
So with that said-thats a rap!
We will continue with more coverage at Round 2 as we head to Mesquite, Nevada Feb22-24.
All the youth deserve a HUGE congrats to there wk end. These kids raced in some of the most grueling conditions they have ever seen .This round was definately one a rider would have to be prepared for to make it to the finish.
Most of the West Coast has been under a deep freeze this season and alot of riders have not got in there training in.
Lets hope we get a break here soon so everyone can get back into the swing to things!
Congrats to all the youth, you are ALL winners!
See you in Nevada! :)
