While the leaders were checking out, the rest of the class was deep in it as they traded positions and did everything they could to gain an advantage over each other

Pilotte had been caught! Pelchat was now ready to start pressuring the leader as the race was now half over. It looked to me like Pilotte had started to fade just a touch and thats all it took for the hard charging Pelchat and Haavisto to finally reel him in!

Pilotte now had his hands full as the track played into Pelchats advantage. If he could pressure Pilotte now, he could tire him slightly and make a move when they reached open ground, or force a mistake and make a pass if the chance presented itself.

Pilotte held off Pelchat one more lap as Haavisto had a perfect view of the action as he sized up each rider from the 3rd spot

It would be Haavisto to strike first! Joe had enough and with only a few laps remaining he had to go! Haavisto would pick off Pelchat and now it was his turn to put the pressure on Pilotte!
