Bryan Cook made the pass on William Yokley at the beginning of the third lap.
William called it a day after his clutch really started to slip after his repeatedly tried to adjust it. After a great start to the day, he headed back to the pits to clean up.
Michael Houston took advantage of the departure of William Yokley and moved into 5th place chasing after Bryan Cook.
Santo Derisi passed Andy Lagzdins and moved into 6th place.
half way through the third lap, Bill Ballance continued to lead the race as he flew over the double jumps
Matt Smiley worked his way past Borich and moved into 2nd place, but ended up getting wrapped in a vine later in the lap trying to get around lapped traffic and lost over a minute getting free, which dropped him back to 5th place.
Chris Borich bottomed out his suspension flat landing a huge double in pursuit of Matt.
