Brad Page was able to get going before Bill Ballance came through the pits in third place, which was incredible considering he had no front brakes.
Chris Borich was back to fifth place behind Chad Duvall after leading the first lap, which was due to some track confusion on the 2nd lap. Matt Smiley had taken over the lead with Borich and Duvall behind him and they followed the course, but missed an alternate line which cut almost 1 minute off a lap, which Brad Page, Greg Trew, William Yokley, and Bill Ballance took advantage of an moved out in front of them.
Gred Trew was slow to get out of the pits and dropped from 2nd to 7th place behind Matt Smiley after pitting.
Brandon Ballance quickly fueled his YFZ and finished the lap in 8th.
Todd Knippenberg also fueled his YFZ on the 2nd lap.
Jeff Stoess worked his way up to 15th place by the end of the 2nd lap and put his sights on Rob Zimmerman!
Kim Kuhnle came in for fuel in the beginning of the third lap
For the third lap, I worked my way over to the beautiful river that cuts it way through Loretta's ranch propery, and many of the spectators took advantage of the high cliffs over the river for jumping into the river to cool off on the hot day.
Stefanie Verkade directed the racers to take the outside line along the river to avoid the whooped out section of track many had taken earlier in the day.
When the Leaders came through, Brad Page was once again out front.
Brad Page had the lead, but Bill Ballance was aggressively trying to find a line to make the pass as he pulled along side of Brad in an effort to make the pass.
