Once the dust settled, #13 John Natalie Jr. & #99 Justin Bres were seen scrambling to remount there machines after being ejected.
Meanwhile, #55 Doug Gust was out front leading #4 Tim Farr, #6 Tavis Cain, #708 Harold Goodman, #19 Jason Dunkelberger, #8 Jason Luburgh, #32 Matt White, #191 Dustin Wimmer, and #2 Jeremiah Jones in 9th through a rhythm sections that had their quads emerging and disappearing behind the Jumps.
By the end of the 1st lap, Doug Gust remained out front with Tim Farr right behind him:macho
Tavis Cain remained in 3rd as Goodman, Dunk, Luburgh, Little, White, Wimmer, and Jones remained bunched together battling for position.
Tim Farr made his move on Doug Gust and took over the lead with Doug Gust trying to power his way back past Farr down the straight away.
Tavis Cain kept the leaders in his sights, but he was gradually loosing ground on the leaders.
Harold Goodman remained in 4th with Lason Luburgh 5th & Dustin Wimmer 6th both moving up through the pack and forming a train as they charged after the leaders.
#32 Matt White, #53 Kory Ellis, and #7 Joe Byrd were out of the Top 10, but quickly trying to make up positions after getting a slow start.
#411 Donald Lysinger hammers through a corner, but unforturnately his 1st moto was ended early with an engine failure:(
John Natalie Jr. also quickly became a spectator after his first turn crash, and he stood in the mechanics area rooting on his East Coast Teammate Dustin Wimmer!!!
With Farr out front, this was the worst possible scenario for John Natalie's quest to finish 2nd Overall, and it was still early in the race.
