Lets see if we can get this straight. Jone's WALSH linkage broke which caused his FOX rear shock to break. Is it that hard to understand? Had nothing to do with the stock components. As for you people saying he ran the stock rear shock if you look at the second picture of the LT-R that merriman posted, on the left side of the subframe you can see the reservoir for the FOX shock mounted almost against the plastic. The stock rear shock is a piggyback setup.
Donald had to go to the LCQ and he came up one spot shot of qualifying.Quote:

Sharp eye! I don't know for sure if it is a "walsh" or not but I thought they were running a "walsh" set up...? I can see the linkage in the same pic and it doesn't look like "it's" broke???(It still has the bolt with nut through it) SURELY A "WALSH" WOULD NOT BREAK! :p Can't tell if it's a stock swinger either from the pics. Must have been the lower shock mount on the "FOX SHOCK" that failed. Could have been the hard hit Jerimiah took in the 1st moto.?? But I thought he would just jump on another backup bike to make sure everthing was right in the 2nd moto. or can they not do that?Quote:

They have to run the same machine.... Is it just me or does the blingstar heel guards look a little too gay???
So that's a stock dog bone linkage right? Doesn't look like the "walsh I saw on ,pics or Gust's bike. Gust must have been running a full blown bike and Jone's >a "close to stock as possiable while still being competative" bike. They were probably thinking "At least one made it to the podium." but WHAT IF TWO! made it and one was on a stock swinger and axle! That would have been something to brag about. Too Bad though....

The more I look at it the more that does look like the stock rear link. I'm beginning to wonder if the mount on the swing-arm didnt break.
just wondering since byrd and natalie got the same results pretty much did byrd get the win cause his number is higher than natalies? or was it a tie
Both Pat Brown and Travis Spader are factor riders for yamaha this year. So incase you were wondering why their quads looked the same, now you know.
According to the latest issue of dirt wheels, both quads use a stock set up for there rear suspension including the rear shock. the only thing that is different is the pipe, some porting work, a-arms and front shocks. even from the pics i saw at glen helen, gust is running the stock rear tires.
