I was very happy to see someone who has worked so hard get to the podium like he did.
Besides I think all racers should get a "hooray" for being out there. I may be in the minority of thought but for those of us who don't have tons of money to put into our machine or the chance to get tons of seat time but still get out there with our heart in it and give it everything we possibly can all the way to the checkered flag...well, we are all important to the sport. I've said before that 20-30 racers couldn't keep it going at the level it has reached now. I hear a lot of comments spectating the afternoon nationals about how slow some of the racers look ( I am sure I look like a snail in the morning race:) ) and I just want to ask them have they ever raced. If not they have no clue what it takes out there. Get out there and pound the terrain for over 2 hrs and see how you do ;)
Jumping off soapbox now :D :D :D :D
Very well said!! I agree 100%;)
