Jarrod McClure, Michael Sroka, and Harlen Foley would all get caught up behind John Gallagher early in the 1st lap and he wouldn't let them around him for anything and held them up for several miles allowing Chris Neal to pick up some valuable time early in the race.
Luckily, the track widens and several lines formed and the three riders aggressively had to pass John to get around him to avoid losing anymore time as TJ Lenig catches up to pack.

Will Cashion was out near the front early, but picking a bad line around a rider had him stuck which droped him back to 7th place by the end of the lap.

By the 2nd lap, Chris Neal remained out front, but Jarrod McClure was finally able to close the 20 second gap he developed while Jarrod was stuck behind Gallagher in the 1st lap.

Their was an intense battle for third place between Michael Sroka and Harlen Foley as they would swap positions back and forth in the 1st and 2nd laps.
Michael Sroka's Predator would be able to out power the Suzuki in the fields at the end of both the 1st and 2nd laps to take over the 3rd spot heading into the next lap.
Also, the creek jumps were closed off to the morning riders :(, so we were forced to ride through the creek.

Early in the 2nd lap, My goggles somehow become smudged on the inside and which made it very difficult to slice through the trees, so I removed my goggles, but once Sroka passed me, he roosted me pretty good, so I was forced to put back on the smudged goggles until I arrived at my pit area.
Unfortunately, my father was busy trying to take photos of the race and wasn't expecting me to come in for goggles, so here he snaps my photo as I come in for goggles and no one was there until he ran over to get the goggles and hand them off to someone to put over my helmet which costed me atleast 15 seconds and allowed the quickly approaching TJ Lenig to move within a few seconds behind me in 5th.

By the beginning of the 3rd lap with fresh goggles, I was able to make the the 20 second lead Sroka developed on me in the 2nd lap and pass him to take over 3rd Place as he headed into his pits for fuel.

By the time Sroka took off from fueling, TJ Lenig was within striking distance as he chased after Sroka's dust cloud.

By the end of the lap, Chris Neal remained out front, and continued to hold off the hard charging Jarrod McClure from passing him as Chris Neal would consistently pick the fastest lines around the track.

TJ Lenig would make the pass on Sroka and begin to put the pressure on Harlen Foley as they caught up to the Traci and Stephanie Battling for the women's lead.
They both were quickly able to pass the ladies as they continued to battle for that final podium spot.
