Chris Borich was the next rider to conquer the mud as he too glided across the top with much problem, but with each passing rider the hard crust on top was giving way to some soupy mud below.
With Borich heading to the far left, Bill Ballance makes a run across the mud on a fresh line on the right to try to make the pass as Thad Josey runs for cover from the mud and water spray off of Bill's Tires as John Ayers captures all the action.
Hot of the heals of the leaders, William Yokley makes quick work of the mud and climbs up the bank in chase in 4th place.
Almost thirty seconds later, Bryan Baker comes through in 5th place after making the Santo Derisi
By the time, 10th Place rider, Santo Derisi made his way through the mud, a deep rut began to form and fill with water as Santo creates tidal wave as he stays on the gas to avoid losing momentum through the mud as he chases after Andy Lagzdins, Michael Houston, Matt Smiley, and Bryan Cook all within a few seconds of each other.
#10 Greg Trew managed to complete his 1st lap of the GNCC Series this year and was running in the 11th spot behind Derisi
#13 Todd Knippenberg was the next rider to splash through the slop hoping to avoid getting stuck.
#8 Jeremy Rice with his broken foot peg would finally come through the mud in 13th place right behind Todd in 12th.
#18 Johnny Gallagher was able to work his way up to 14th place ahead of #24 Pro Rookie, Rhett Butler
#9 Brandon Ballance was all the way back to 16th after his early dismount and was desperately trying to make up time.
