As the sunset on this Friday, the riders lined up to get through tech inspection.

Saturday Morning, the wind wasn’t nearly as brisk as it was on Friday, so the pros begin to setup their canopies early in the morning before many of the spectators arrived.
Santo Derisi and his crew were bundled up early Saturday morning with temps in the 40’s as they inspected the motocross track and the changes that racer production made to the track Friday evening for the morning race.
The mud hole would not be an option for the morning racers as they will be forced to go around drainage pound, but it would be remarked for the afternoon race.

The racing action at a GNCC actually begins as early as one hour before the race even begins as many riders rush to the starting area to lineup in a staging area and wait to be released to line up on their starting row.
Around 9:45 the riders are released from the staging area and the mad dash to their starting row is underway, and these photos were provided under Extremely dangerous conditions and I would recommend others to stay clear of the starting area when the riders are released to lineup :D
Stock Class riders, Michael Sroka Jr and Will Cashion made it to the line early to secure their starting positions and with some classes having over 30+ riders, the good starting positions are quickly filled and the late arrivals are forced to start on the far inside or outside.
Amazingly a completely empty field is filled with hundreds of ATVs and people in less than 5 minutes.

Fred was one of the 1st people besides Kenny to actually starting helping me with race coverage at the beginning of last year, and he has been responsible for providing many of the morning action photos that you all have come to enjoy, and he will also be writing the majority of the morning race reports this year.
