By the 4 mile marker of the 2nd lap, Bill Ballance was in the lead heading through the rutted woods trails. His Brother, Brandon Ballance, never finished the first lap after his YFZ wouldn't start up after stalling it. Greg Trew also never finished the first lap after he snapped off a tie-rod.
Chris Borich made the pass on Bryan Cook and moved into 2nd place with Cook on a second behind him.
William Yokley fell back to 5th place behind Matt Smiley after experiencing clutch problems.
Andy Lagzdins remained in 6th place, but Michael Houston was closing in quickly.
Santo Derisi moved up to 8th place after passing Jeff Stoess
Thomas Barrett was up to 9th Place without goggles as he pounded through the woods.
Kim Kuhnle worked his way up to 10th place on his Predator.
Jeff Stoess lost several positions after his one battery came loose and he had to head into the pits and get his battery situation fixed.
It didn't stop him from tearing it up!
By the end of second lap, Bill Ballance was still in the lead with Chris Borich only a second behind.
Borich charged out of the check point after Bill Ballance
