2009 AMA ATV Motocross Nationals #4-Birch Creek- Race Coverage

I know alot of fans head to these races to catch the the Pro's in action, but for me, watching the youth classes is the most exciting.

The Pro's of tomorrow are right here folks, and if you study them, you can see how far they will prgress as they get older and rise up the ranks.

Back in the Pro pits, everything was being checked and tuned to give the riders the best their machine could offer.

Having mechanical issues when your winning the race, and only 1 turn from the checkered flag sucks! A valiant effort was given as the young racer pushd his machine towards the finish line, but it would be in vain as he was passed just feet before he could get across the line. Character building in progress!

There were a few wrecks as one would expect throughout the day

Racers were telling me that the track was good but getting rough. With as many moto's that were being run, it was to be expected and the track crew would respond when there was a break in the action.

The racing continued non stop as the days sunshine started to heat things up.

Everyone was busily trying to catch their rider for the scrapbook!
