2006 GNCC Series Round #9 -The Wisp - McHenry, MD Morning Coverage

As the classes lessened in number, the usual roar of racing did not seem to be in the air. The foliage was doing a great job of keeping this event quiet.

I did my best to get you in the action, I hope that everyone will get a chance to either race or attend one of these events. Pictures just can not explain it all!

Running two wide at the start of the Wisp can come back to hurt you. The combinations of speed, wet grass and offcambered track lead to a few small encounters

As soon as the alotted time had passed, another class was on its way!

With grass flying the leaders were well into the course and reports were coming in that Traci cecco was still in the lead

Clean machines and dry riders greeted the Wisp, only the well prepared would see the end of the race!

I knew what carnage laid ahead, there is a well known reason why the Wisp is the last round before the > break< ...pun intended:D

Some tires, rims and skidplates were going to sacrifice themselves on this battlefield.

Riders who had starting issues would have to play catch up.
