Friday Night, many riders got into the Halloween spirit and setup decorations in the pits.
The great thing about GNCC racing are the many friendships that are formed at the track, and many riders look forward to getting together every other week to hang out the night before the race.
Some sit back outside and watch a movie they rented before leaving for the track.
Others, just gather lumber and build a small fire to hang around and talk about what ever comes to mind.
Some really get into it camping at the track and have a mini party amongst friends.
Check out this crazy bunch of guys:devil:
For some, the evening is also a time to make some last minute preparations before Saturday's Race.
Chris Conklin spent his evening installing a mandatory kill cord on Ryan Early's yamaha, so he would be able to race the next morning.
Before I knew it, Saturday Morning had arrived and it was time to quickly qet inline for Tech Inspection at around 7AM before the sun came up in the East. With the Youth race starting at 8:30AM, I knew the line would become long and steady later in the day.
Many of the Youth riders were also up early, and were first in line with their parents to go through tech inspection.
The Tech's primarily insured that kill cord was functional and that the kids were signed up in the right classes and sent on their way. They weren't required to do sound testing, but I did see posted at that the new sound limit next year will be 102db instead of the 104db limit allowed this year. I am sure we will hear more about this at the banquet in November.
