its all good, but when folks that dont go to the races and base opinions that are unfounded post, it makes the rest of us feel just like you! we wonder why we should post when we get these out of wack statements about a rider, especially one of the greatest to ever race!
gust isnt slow, he is in the hunt at every round and he is getting paid based on his performance not on who he is.
if he was finishing last or holding up riders, hell id agree with ya, but that day is a LONG way off:D
and remember, a bad day in the real world can get alot worse when you allow the internet to throw a wrench in your venting lol
here, this is what i deal with and i can still laugh at the end of the day:devil:

Why in the world would or should he retire...lunacy, plain lunacy to suggest it
:D
I agree.
Why retire when you're still that fast.
Yeah, thumbs up for Gust. He is the most inspiring rider out there! I don't understand why everyone is bashing on Gibson for making the leap....... Does anyone remember Wienen's first pro season??? He was slow and out of shape for the pro class. Look what hard work and conditioning has done for him. I think he is the fastest rider today. No rider will jus come in and start winning moto's and races his first year. Give the kid a chance and form an opinion after a full season of pro class racing. On a side note, zook should pick Wienen back up when Gust decides to retire!!
Exactly. If you need an even better example, look at Creamer's first pro season.Quote:

Gibson moving up to fast???!!! hahaha who is the dumbass that said that. He beat Thomas Brown straight up in Pro Am unlimited and would have won pro am production if not for engine failures. That kid has the most talent of anyone that throws a leg over a quad and i gurantee he will be a pro champ one day. This was the best thing that could have happened to cody cause now he knows where he stands and will train his *** off and be better than ever next season. I c no one mentioned that the kid has rode suzukis all his life and switch to kawi this season and STILL kicked ***. U idiots will c. it may take 5 years but wimmer but watch out, my man cody will put that #40 out front where it belongs
I have the luxury of riding and racing with Gibson, Josh Williams, Devin Heimes, Jeffery Rastrelli and many of the other extremely fast guys. I watched Gibson race the SSQSA series here in Florida with all of the guys that I mentioned. He is crazy fast and talented. He matured a lot within the last year and will only gain more Wisdon and Talent that will help propel him to the top in the future.
I cant wait to start the new SSQSA season in October!!!
Watching Gibson and the rest of those guys in our Pro-Am class will be very exciting. I race the A class in that series and wont even get on the track with Gibson! My ego cant handle it.
Hopefully, we will get some more Pro's to run our series so I can see how Gibson handles them.
I agree Gust is no where near due to retire. When you're that consistent, and still that fast, why retire?
Upperman tried a Kawi, and it didnt work near as well for him as his Honda. He should stay right where he's at, same as Goodman.
And Gibson will be out front with Wienen and Wimmer soon as he gets the pro class nerves out of the way and calms down a little bit, there have been races his lap times have been as fast as 4th or 5th in the pro class. Cody will get it. I've heard him called a young Jeremiah Jones (or something like that), and if this proves to be true he'll be one of the greatest riders of all time
KTM needs to put someone in the pro class on one an SX. Bruening is having good luck with his, and he's really getting fast. I've been riding with him since 05 and he's come a long way. Dont rule him out of the Pro Am points race next year. I wouldnt rule Cottage out either, I've known him since he was on a Blaster and runnin 250c on a YZ250, and he's getting fast. Pro Am next year is gonna be stacked
