Ashlie Whaley was able to capitalize on the situation and catapulted herself up several positions as she powered her YFZ right up the slope, but unfortunately her charge would be short lived as her and another rider would collide only another mile into the race and send her to the back.

Ken Vickerd was close behind Gallagher in 2nd place until he spun out allowing William Guinter to take over the 2nd spot aboard his Vforce.
