Micheal Mussi getting scored. Mussi ran in 5th overall all day and continues to improve and just keeps getting faster!
With 2 laps to go, Brandon Boso came in and then Summerfield. Hill was nowhere to be seen. Finally he came in with a blown front tire, got scored and headed out for the last lap in 3rd
As anyone knows, riding with a flat front is not easy, and I figured Cody would drop back fast. I almost pulled him after this picture to see the tire but he did not give me a chance!
Miller was in 4th place and it looked as if he was going to try and make a run on Hill after scoring. Then bad luck struck. Millers quad was not running well at all and he pulled over.
He sure was upset as any racer can identify with. Thats racing and he will be back out there ready to go the next race!
Boso grabbed the overall with 2 minutes to spare. Summerfield was riding good but Brandon is tuff to beat much less make up 2 minutes on!
Summerfield took 2nd overall and won the 90cc 8-11 class by 20 seconds over Hill. Canan is looking very good and I would love to see him hit a few of the GNCC races!
Cody Hill rolled in behind Summerfield taking home the 3rd overall and 2nd in class position.
After the race, I showed him his tire. He replied..."I did not know I had a flat, I thought I bent an A Arm".
It seemed that with 2 laps to go, Cody had enough of a lapped rider and took a line that left him smacked into a tree:p He required help to get the quad off the tree and that is when Summerfield made the pass. All in all he learned another lesson, that being the lapper did not cost him as much time as the wreck did. A win was in the bag but that is racing!
For anyone that thinks these kids do not ride hard:confused:
This is Cody's front rim:eek: 4th gear pinned in a rock garden!
The most fun at the races is after the race is over. The awards get handed out and then sitting back watching these competitors become regular kids again
Watching young Micheal Mussi attack the track is one thing, but watching him throw down his game face on this poor defensless snow-cone was hystarical!:D
