Single trails would cause some serious bottle ups in the trails since limited areas for passing were available to the riders. MX sections would be a riders biggest means of passing . Each lap would be a guess on who would be 1st out of the trails ...
Youth riders are off!!!
#177 Cole Fite leads in laps 1 and 2...
Fite runs into a mechanical issue in the final lap, leaving #323 Tyler Woods to take over the lead ,wrapping up the #1 and fastest lap time in the final lap.
Moving up from 4th position in lap 2, to the #2 slot, day rider #2072 Lucas Weaver wraps it up with approx. a 2 second margin under Woods.
# 961 Ze'vyer Mott moves up from the 5th position in lap 2,to filling the final spot on the podium in 3rd.
Female Hetricks Team rider #10y Kelsey Lugan moves up from 10th position in the 1st lap to 4th place finish in the final lap.
Lugan expressed the importance of navigating in the woods this round, she stated many bottle ups and riders off course ,this was how she was able to gain several position in the XC sections.
There were kids stuck all over the course!!!
Alot of the smaller kids especially, so it made it very tough to race competively with very little places to pass. We had to help a couple kids get unstuck so we could keep racing.This round was alot more than riding fast and jumping big, it was very technical on the MX and XC this round, I think walking the course was very helpful since we had no practice on Friday

Day rider #1716 Nathan Palm moves from 9th position in lap 1, finishing in the 6th slot in Shifter Open class.
#343y Ashley Clinton slipped back slightly ,moving from 5th position in lap 1, to a respectable 7th place in finish.
#20y Nick Klein moves up from 12th position in lap 1, to an 8th place finish.
