the results for the afternoon overall are the same as the afternoon by class results.
Well today had to be one of the greatest races I've had the priviledge of covering. I was on the edge of my seat and my stomach was full of butterflies, it was incredible. The lead changes were so intense with all the top guys being so close together.
Congrats again to Harlen on his awesome finish on the Raptor with no practice time. Wow!! Duane Johnson, what can I say, our hero. Way to represent Missouri. :D :D Can't wait for Loretta's!!
He ripped his A-arm out of the frame, which ended his day.Quote:

great job harlen. I can hardly wait to read your full wright up on the 700. I tried to race a 660 but it had to much tracktion. What did you think of hte 700? handful or was it easy to ride?
Thanks
Geoff
The Raptor 700 was very easy to ride, and I rode it in a tall gear, so I was using its low end torque, which worked awesome through the woods with out ripping the bars out of my hands, and I haven't rode for 2 hours since the Ironman and only rode once since, and I didn't even get tired, which really surprised me.Quote:

Bottom line, I am surprised that more racers aren't racing the new Raptor because it is nothing like the old 660, which I did not like because it was a wheelie machine that was too tippy.
Great ride Harlen, I hope I can ride without getting tired after being off for so long. :ermm:
Congrats to Mike Houston! What a killer race! I was at the 2nd creek crossing on the 3rd lap, it was Ballance, borich, then Johnson- very tight. As they flew across Borch's quad took in some water and stalled. Johnson was so close behind , he was jammed and couldn't get around. we waived houston to an alternate line around and thats where he passed those two. Yokley did the same and then Johnson finally got around a stalled out Borich. Borich finally got it fired back up after about 20 kicks. At that point ballance still hads a good lead but claimed he went over the bars, and thats where Houston took the lead. Ballance still charged all the way back to 2nd even passing yokley in the last straight away up to the checkers.
We also saw pro am rider Gary Bryson's quad do the same thing that Borichs did at the same spot. I think he was in 3rd at the time.
