Check out the tire grooving job on Gust's rears. That's a lot of extra edges for bite.
Noticed some of the pros don't run front number plates on the bumper? How does that work, they not enforcing it on the pro class now?

at the glen helen race i seen the headpipe on some of the other makes also. the yama looked different than the honda and more like the kawis, it was not on creamer or weinen bikes . can-am used the mega bomb header with their fmf exhaust
I just got back a bit ago from PVR. Awesome 2nd moto. First moto was kinda boring.
From my vantage point...right at the fence at the finishline turn, Creamer was charging hard into the turn on Byrd's butt. Byrd hit the brakes hard as they ALL (Wimmer, Gust, Creamer and Byrd) were running like madmen the last 4 laps or so. You could just see them ALL riding on the ragged edge. I think the 4 positions went back and forth at least 3-4 times in those final laps. Like somebody said earlier...FREIGHT-TRAINING....PERFECT word for it. Bumper to grabbar basically on the last lap. It was bound to happen with them hauling the mail. Creamer looked like he was carrying a bit too much speed into the final right hander and Byrd just got on the brakes sooner and harder than he expected. They didn't go off the track..Creamer's Kaw just flat out PLUGGED itself into Byrd's Honda. Byrd instantly turned and took a swing at Creamer...just clipped his visor. THEN they both bounced around on their quads trying to get them free as the rest of the field were going around them...left and right. Creamer jumped off...pulled his quad and such...got them separated. The crowd was going nutz! Creamer was first to get back on and free, and his quad was still pointed in the right direction, Byrd's was kinda facing towards the infield. byrd got back on, then he just ripped off the edge of the track trying to get across the line which was about 15-20feet away. He ran over a haybale and nearly went over the bars...(would have loved to see that happen...FUNNY AS Shizzle!) he regained control, hit ANOTHER bale as he got to the line. End of race. Gust is amazing. These last few rounds..he has been in the hunt and up front EVERY time. I have no idea how he can keep it up like he does. Wimmer...just flatout fast! Nuff said. Creamer...fast as can be, but seems to run nearly outta control ALL THE TIME! If anybody is gonna push it to win..HE IS! This time it cost him AND Byrd some much needed points. Weinen...bad luck today. Tangled and crashed moto 1 and DNF with some mechanical troubles...sounded like serious engine probs as he came under the bridge and didn't see him again that moto. 2nd Moto...looked underpowered..kinda slow from normal. Thinkin it was either a backup quad, or spare engine. (maybe just running the "hurt" one. Just didn't look like he was getting it done. Natalie put in a nice 2nd moto. Looked to me like he was reeling in the leading pack. Didn't notice what kinda start he got, but he was rollin for sure.
After all was said and done...what struck me as very POOR sportsmanship. Byrd got the $250 Holeshot award, but was too busy figuring out when and where to crush Creamer's skull that he didn't even come to the podium to accept the check and THANK his supporters, sponsors and most importantly..THE FANS! Without them....he is just another fast Quad rider with an attitude. I DO understand his anger and frustration, but come on...he is supposed to be a PROFESSIONAL. Kinda reminds me of some of the prima donna pro athletes who think they DESERVE something. Suck it up and get over it. Its racing after all. Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats YOU. Sorry about the wall of text, but the wife doesn't wanna hear it so you guys get it all! w00t!
yeah your right byrd should of still went up and got his 250 for the holeshot, but im sure he was really pissed NO EXCUSES.
man i woulda bean jacked as all hell. i dont blame him. i was there and saw it. i thought there was going to be rumble in the pits. the whole kawi team walked to byrds trailer at the end. The team manager marty kept saying " I just wanna hear what he has to say..." I bet there was 80 ppl gathered aroung byrds trailer waiting to see what happened. Officials made everyone sepperate tho and took byrd in to his trailer to talk to him. byrd didnt even say anything. Just had a death stare on his face. I dont blame him, he put in a heck of a ride to have it taken away 6ft from the finish line. Prolly the best racing I have ever seen.
Good thing Creamer kept his cool and didnt swing back. Dont wanna pull a Villopoto and Lawrence.
wish i could of been there. sounds exciting.
All I can say to Byrd is: what goes around comes around.
We were gonna head up to the pits to see the excitement but decided to just stay at the podium and cheer for the lucky victors! When asked who Gust wanted to thank...I wanted him to hollar, "Josh and Joe!" :devil:Quote:

All kidding aside, Byrd did run a great moto. Don't usually see the lead and top spots change hands sooo many times in one moto. Did you notice how Creamer would gain a couple ticks on the last uphill into the tight left before the whoops in front of teh bridge? He had that section dialed. Do you know what actually happened to Weinen's quad? Was it the engine? Just didn't sound right as he went under the bridge.
i doubt josh purposely took himself and joe out, they are both battling for points and it was the last corner so he tried to make a move. but i do know that if joe was leaning on him lot josh is one of the last riders out there that would just sit back and take it.
