True Rice was on a bone stock LTR450, but his results were not that great either. Also many of the top Pros don't use stock swing arms. There might be a couple in the bottom 20, but in the top 10 other then Smiley are aftermarket swing arms. For Smiley to race a near stock quad to a top 5 last year shows that he can race. But I think he had to race at 110% all the time to do that. And that is because Polaris wanted to prove that a near stock Pred could be competative in the Pro class. Heard it directly from the Polaris reps at last years Florida race. However to step up to the next level the Pred needs to have some XC a-arms like the ARS/FX or the Houser. So it can have camber and caster adjustments.Quote:

Also there are many quads on the line as stock as Smileys. Jeremy Rice was on a completely stock LTR 450 for a few round Stock shocks stock arms stock pipe everything. Also Bill Ballance runs a stock swingarm on the YFZ alot of the quads are way more stock than you think. It wont be long before some pros just run stock suspension with that GTTHUNDER link in the rear nothing comes close to YFZ rear shock. Smiley did ride the Predator for several rounds also.
ge you have too get of the polaris is as good. first of all ballance uses a stock swingarm and he is ranked #1. All the pros have been to test with multiple quads in stock form and no one liked the polaris. How do i know because i was at one of them. the a-arms are not the problem at all, it's the size, weight , ergos( the strangest sport quad i have ever been on), and power (it does not have anywhere near the power of the 450's). It does have a very good rear and does need an aftermarket swingerQuote:

I havnt looked at bills quad in the last couple races i watched, But i always thought he ran a stock YFZ swinger, With an ars/fx front end now mounted with Ohlins.
In the new atvsport mag they have BB YFZ with all his specs and pics. It shows he has a ARS/FX swing-arm and they have a pic of it to.Quote:

I don't know what you ment, but I don't think the Pred is a god. (I think that is what you ment) But I also don't think it's junk like other say. But whatever it may be, I hope Smiley does well and maybe see you at a couple of races.:machoQuote:

i don't think it's junk, but i think at an a or higher level you have too ride it much harder too compete. And in some races it will take a toll on you. come up and say hi if you see us at some races.:DQuote:

I've seen Ballances quad on pro row at a lot of GNCC's and it does have the stock swingarm on it. I think it was Johnny G that posted on another site that the reason being was Ballance is a weight freak, and the cast aluminum swingarm is lighter than about anything out there.Quote:
