Well someone said he didn't race because he was still under contract. So if Polaris pulled the plug, then that would not be true. So if he is still under contract, then that would seem Smiley pulled the plug.

And in case u havent noticed. Smiley was on a FAR from stock predator last year.

matts predator had axis shocks, tireballs and hiper wheels and handlebars last yeaar. to my knowlege, that was IT. show us another quad on the line that close to stock

Don't foregot about the roll design front end he had on his bike too, and there were several pro-am riders who were still running stock a-arms and swing-arms and only added elkas, and finished in the top 20 overall last year, I think it was Mcgill, or Johnson but not for sure.

All i have noticed, is that Matt is trying his arse off this year and last, And the Just look at everyone who is riding the new OUTLAW. None of them seem to be doing as well as they did last year.

Johnny G senior is still doing great, But he has kinda had that class wraped up for years now. Steph Parton isnt doing as well as she has in the past also, And Matt is another example.

I think that it's in Matt best intrest to be a Factory Polaris rider, But mabey Polaris needs to let him run the Preditor. When i saw Matt in Washington Ga. at the General GNCC I followed he, and one other rider, (mabey RICE) threw the woods for just a little bit, and it just seemd like Matts bike just didnt work for him as well. I though it looked like he had to FIGHT it to stay with the rider infront of him.

And his pred. Did have alot of suspension parts, and im sure alot of tuning to get it to handle like the other top Pro quads.

From all the pics I've seen, he still had stock a-arms. They were just Roll Design stickers on them.

at the texas race he had roll stickers, after that, he didnt even have them

I beleive that the reason Smiley didnt race is because of his contract with Poliaris. I mean I know the deal had ended and stuff but had he raced there could still be some kind of law suit or something. I mean I may be wrong but thats just what I think because he had Honda race ready under the Team Safara Motorsports tent.

Not true look at Todd Rothermal he finished 20th overall this weekend in the stock class aboard a stock Outlaw no one is saying a thing about it that is pretty damn good I am almost sure it is his best finish ever. Also there are many quads on the line as stock as Smileys. Jeremy Rice was on a completely stock LTR 450 for a few round Stock shocks stock arms stock pipe everything. Also Bill Ballance runs a stock swingarm on the YFZ alot of the quads are way more stock than you think. It wont be long before some pros just run stock suspension with that GTTHUNDER link in the rear nothing comes close to YFZ rear shock. Smiley did ride the Predator for several rounds also.
