Heimes was off the chain! That boy was flat flying! Tough break for him no doubt.
Coverage will resume tommorrow, the hotel I stayed in lost power and now I have to watermark both days instead of just one so im a little behind.

I realize who you all are talking about crashing now. He was the guy leading the first couple laps........battling with Cody Gibson, correct? #7 I believe. That may have been the most exciting battle all weekend......as they were going back and forth and even side by side for several laps. :macho

Cody Grant is looking really good this year. you can tell he did his off season work. Good to see him getting off of his plateau. Heimes I feel has a good shot at a champoinship this year... unless gibson can stay on all fours and have consistent finishes.

that whole pass that gibson put on heimes and him wrecking on the freeway at the same time looked awful fishy to me....... heimes was smokin fast.
Didn't get to see it myself......but I don't think there was a person in the crowd that wanted to see #7 crash. From the reaction there.......Gibson is definitely a crowd favorite at Birch. Everyone was ready for some good racing......and thats what we all got until the crash. It really took the excitement out of it. :o
I honestly haven't kept up with MX that great in the past.......but last years Nationals at Birch got me interested, and this year got me hooked. I will definitely be keeping an eye on Pro-Am as well as Pro from now on. Should be a great season for both......with several in the mix stepping it up.
Heimes and Gibson are both fast riders.
Watching these two reminds me of watching J. J. and Gandy in the A class before they went Pro.
With these two and several others coming through the ranks the ATV racing industry as we know it is only going to get better and better to watch.
Heck. Coming in behind the pack that is out there this year you got Rastrelli and Hetrick and Madl. I am sure there are several others but it is going to be very exciting.
It will be great to have 40 - 50 pros showing up to an event and having to really qualify to get into the show. But I am afraid that that may still be several years away.
I am just glad to kinda have a part in some of these guys career.
