Sounds like we are headed the way of NASCAR and have tech inspections after the races to keep everyone honest:cool:
it cost money to protest though:rolleyes:
Yes, it costs money to protest. It is all part of racing though. It really is a compliment to the team getting protested and they usually get to go out and have a really good dinner after the race.
It is amazing though how when Suzuki did the protesting it was a big thing like "CANT WIN PROTEST" but this year it is all cool to do so.
Really though at one time they used to tear down 1, 2 or 3 of the top finishers in the pro class and they stopped. If they still did that Natalie, Suzuki or anybody else wouldn't have to protest. To me the ATVA needs to step up and do some tear downs of their own and not like this weekend let them know they will be checking fuel a day before they do it. I also think they should do the tech with rolling through the bar and sound testing as they come off the track not before. Just my 2cents. ;)

GO GUST AND JONES..:D
I think since Natalie stated before any racing started he was going to protest two riders is why it is different than last year with Suzuki protesting Natalie.
Both Natalie and Suzuki had the same reason for the protests. To keep everyone legal. I think the difference is Suzuki and Honda. When Honda does something it is ok but when Suzuki does it look out. When Suzuki got potested several times the year before it was ok and they did not know in advance. When Suzuki protested last year right away poeple got mad. To me a protest is a protest for what ever reason. It is a compliment to the team getting protested. To me the only reason you should get mad is if you arn't leagal. Yes, it does take time to do it but like I said the team can go out and have a great dinner. Suzuki got protested for helmets, shoes and a lot of other stupid things but they just laughed it off. It is called keeping people honest. I hope there is a protest EVERY race. It will keep people leagal at all times. Natalie did what needed to be done just as Suzuki did last year.
Just my 2cents;)
