I know that it is sad that they didn't take the time to spend a few minutes with your son, but the riders are part of a team, and I'm sure the team manager has set the guidelines. If they take the time to sit and chat with one person's child what if a line forms and then they have to tell some of the fans no. That is why they have an autograph session. I wish we could have it the old way too, because I have talk to Doug and Jeremiah before at a national and it was great, but I will accept this if that is what it takes to get our sport the spotlight it deserves. Doug and Gust are two of the nicest and sincere racers I have ever met and I know that they haven't suddenly turned into "rock stars". Try going to a AMA national or supercross event and talk to RC, Stewart or any of the other racers at a time other than the autograph session. Now with that said, I can't wait to hear what happens Sunday! Wish I could be there.
you can say that, but Natalie and Farr are doing awesome, trying to take to sport to the next level, yet they still have time to meet the fans? In almost any sport, the fans are one of the most important things. the fans are the ones that buy the suzuki, honda, or yamaha, and if suzuki pushes the fans away, they're just pushing away the business. they're screwing themselves.
For all of you so called race fans who think Team Suzuki is stuck-up or ignoring you,be glad that a factory team has anything to do with our sport.Everyone is used to the old days when fans could walk right up under anyone's tent and talk or get an autograph.Things will change for everyone when more full factory teams are formed. If you go to a pro-dirt bike event, the only time you see any of the riders up close is only during the autograph session. This is the first race of the season, and everyone has alot of pressure on them.Stop crying because you might have to stand in line for an autograph.
I'm gonna have to call you out on this. Do you really think that "Doug and Gust" are two different people? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that it was only a typo (I hope).Quote:

I didnt want to start some ***** fest just making my observations of the day. So here is another that I thought was really great and indicative of the sport.
While standing over at Natalie's tent after practice an A class rider came over and asked "Hey, where can I get numbers if I want to run the Pro Am qualifier?"
A couple poeple chimed in with who had them at the track.
Natalie jumped in and said "if those people cant help you come back and we'll hook you up"
There, something nice to discuss.
Yep.....sounds like John!! :) Even after not seeing us for a year, as soon as we got to GH last weekend, he was probably the first person to our trailer to say HI......."nice" goes a long ways.......;) The fact that he's fast as heck is just a bonus......hahhahahaha
Does anyone know if natalie is racing the E-start or the kick start?

Yeah right.... Thats why you went on other sites and wrote the same thing. To put it nicely i think you are a little too "Sensitive".
The wind has arrived at Glen Helen today. I dont know how hard its blowing but all the flags are straight out and all the flag poles are bending in the wind.
If ya try to talk to someone via cell phone all you can hear is the wind in the background.
