#9 Brandon Ballance was the next rider to cross the finish line in 4th overall, but what happened to #4 Matt Smiley because he was no where in sight?
Unfortunately, Matt Smiley slammed one of the drainage ditches on the fire roads, which sent him over the bars at high speed while his Predator began flipping out of control with Brandon barely avoiding the wreck himself.
Brandon didn't get out of the way quick enough as predator clipped him in the shoulder with one of its wheels as he tried to avoid running over Matt Smiley.
Matt Smiley remounting the Predator in hopes of salvaging the race, but his trip around the track would prove to be a slow one as his rear axle was severely bent and his chain began sheering off the sprocket teeth.
