Friends, John Cunningham and John Kenney are currenty 2nd and 3rd in points behind the undefeated Dave Simmons, and they hope the muddy conditions at Loretta's will give them the chance to get a win this weekend.
2 Stroke racer, Joey Marqueria, currently sits in 3rd place in points behind Brian Edwards and Wes Stone after moving past Nathan Gogno.
The past three races Joey's finishes have improved each race with a 4th, 3rd, and 2nd place finish, so if the trend was going to continue he would have needed his 1st win of the season.
Joey didn't win the race, but he did finish in 3rd place for yet another impressive finish.
Luke DeCesare grabbed the Holeshot and the lead in the 2 Stroke Class, but would ended up finishing in 10th place.
Dave Simmons was right behind Luke and was out front in the Senior class, but would end up getting passed by Terry Brooks on his Banshee before heading into the woods, but he would pass Terry before the end of the lap and take back over the lead where he would stay the rest of the race as he won his 6th race of the season by over 12 minutes:eek:
Hey Dave, you are just too fast for your age, so I want to see you Birth Certificate at the next race because I am starting to wonder is you are even out of High School yet with your speed:D
Terry Brooks is one of the few riders that remains on the Banshee for racing anything other than Drags, but he showed that he knew how to handle the Banshee through the trees as he held onto 3rd after two laps behind John Kenney, but would run into problems on the last lap and drop back to 7th.
John Kenney rode to his best finish of the season with a 2nd place finish and moves to within 9 points of John Cunningham Jr in 2nd place in points after Cunningham Jr finished his worst race of the season in 5th place.
Glenn McConnell would go on to finish 7th in the 2 Stroke Class with Brian Edwards claiming the win with Wes Stone finishing in 2nd Place.
