If you have never been to a national, it is very hard to explain the sounds and sense of speed these guys run at especially at the start!

Wimmer was way back as the riders rip into this rythm section. I have to admit, I was quickly thinking Dustin may not be at 100% even with his faster qualifier award from saturday.
I try not to have a favorite rider, but I can't help for wanting a rider who had an injury to do well.

The field was now working a tight section and the dust kicked up just enough that i couldnt tell what was going on. When they came back up out of teh section, Jeremy Lawson had taken the lead!

Gust was already pressuring Byrd for his position as the pair sails over a jump.

Behind Gust and Byrd, the action was plain hectic with 4 riders going at it at every jump and turn. Wimmer had moved up and was now in the mix but well behind the leaders

Lawson looked to be checking out as he had that Can Am in the wind!

Gust was now trailing Lawson as he assumed second

Lawson had clear track ahead and was looking as good as I had ever seen him. This was now his race to lose!
