Borich IS a hell of an athlete, and deserves extra kudos for his ride at the Penton. I don't mean to steal any of Chris's thunder, but I would also like to mention my son Adam McGill. The Penton was insane this year. There were many accidents, course questions, and mechanical problems. Just off the start of the pro line, 3 bikes got tangled as sometimes happens when the adrenaline is pumping, and Adam was thrown from his bike and knocked unconscious. Out cold for about a minute and goofy for about 5. In fact, the pro am line was held up an extra few minutes because of the severity of the crash. But after loosing a battle to hold my son down, he wrestled to his feet, jumped back on his bike and finished 20th in the pro class. At the end of the race, he was confused and dizzy, and his pupils were unresponsive. We had the medics check him and all indications were consistent with a concusion. Amazing though, that under all these circumstances, he raced with integrity, and FINISHED! I realized, it is just what he does.Quote:

I'm trying to find a place to mention and thank all those that I remember being so outstanding to us yesterday through this matter. I am not computer savvy and will search for a venue. As a momma, I feel compelled to acknowledge and thank so many.
Congrats to Borich and McGill on an outstanding afternoon, as well as Jenks, Ballance and Duane Johnson on their podium wins.

not so well, got off to a good start parker got the holeshot and i was 2nd, finally got around him after he got hung up on some other rider in a mud hole and got to pull away towards the end till i came up on a big bottle neck and some spectator was pointing at a used line saying to take it so i did and it routed me back onto the track i had already runed about 5 miles earlier, so i jus did 2 laps pulled out so i wouldnt risk messing my quad up or me and these next few weeks before sparta ill be training pretty hard.....id like to also congrat chris earlywine on a 17th overall out of vet class....Quote:

god! i saw borich take the spill in the field! it was a nasty one
he was coming over a big hump in the land in about 4th gear pinned, when his tires lifted from the ground and he just went airborn, from there his front end just completely dove under, flinging him off, with the quad coming right after him, he hit the ground doin a good 35mph, knocked him silly, but after a few minutes he got right back up, and sped away like nothing happened
I also believe much credit should go to those two boys for such stamina and perserverience as to come back after such a devistating start. It was indeed a nerve racking, nail biting (lets not forget confusing) race!!!Quote:
