Andy Lagzdins dropped back 30 seconds behind Smiley and had Todd Knippenberg moving to within 4 seconds of Andy.
#9 Brandon Ballance continued his run in 9th Place.
Johnny Gallagher had dropped all the way 17th after he was forced to pit after the 1st lap to make adjustments to his Honda, so he would have the power to pull the hill climbs.
Borich continued to lead Ballance through the pits on the 4th lap with William Yokley continuing to drop back behind the leaders.
He could have pitted for a tire change, but the tire change could have costed him as much time as he would lose riding on a partially flat tire, and he wasn't willing to make take the gamble.

#6 Bryan Cook continued his charge hard trying to make up from his earlier issue, but he still remained in 13th place by the end of lap 4.
With the end of the 5th lap quickly approaching, Chris Borich and Bill Ballance team managers (Joe & Jimmy) stood side by side waiting to see who would emerge from the woods in 1st place.
Chris Borich was able to hold off to last minute attempts by Bill Ballance to make the pass, and held onto the lead as they headed toward the checkered flag.
