FST makes a 500cc stroker kit for the 400ex.
Its my first 400 and i'm just looking to make it as fast as i can. Right now it has a stage II hotcam, hmf exhaust, K&N filter w/ no lid, and its no where near what i want it to be. Its going to be set for straight line no mx or anything. Any suggestions??

Hotcams stage 3 or webcams
nitrous
Heavy port with +1mm valves
FCR carb
were can i find the tc 505 or the fst 500 kit for the 400ex
i would recommend only oversizing the exhaust valves only, because if you do the intake as well your defeating the purpose of the oversized exhaust valvesQuote:

The 505 kit is a big stroke i wouldnt recommened it for a everyday riding bike not only is it a very big bore but also a really big stroke as well. I had a 490 and it overheated pretty easily. I would look more into the 4mm stroker that some of the people atre making. I believe they would suit better for a trail bike all i did with mine was drag race and it was a 7mm stroker like the one you are talking about tc makes. Also i would go with a good port and polish oversize valves. The web 479 grind cam and an fcr 39mm carb to go with that. And either a sparks x6 exhaust or an hmf. that would wake your 400 up well.
Yeah which is why stock the exhaust is always a lil bigger than the intakeQuote:
