easy and well worth it. you have to re-jet after removing the choke.
ok so how do you do it and what do you rejet to? Does it make it harder to start?
go to the faq forum, its there , everything you need to know
no it makes it easier to start when combined with a 42 pilot jet
My riding group makes fun of me for removing my choke. "What are you stupid you going to need that choke." But I'm the one laughing when I fly by them. I didn't rejet and I didn't go with a bigger pilot jet. I just stab the throttle four times and it starts every time.
do u have to re jet it if u do it to the 250ex and if so wat jet should i use
I just took my choke out and installed a 42 pilot, and adjusted my idle. It starts up very easy now and idles great. Do you have to up the main jet? I heard you dont, I just want to make sure, everything else is completely stock, i run it w/ the air box lid on, stock filter, stock exaust-(for now), I dont think I have to up the main, do I? Thanx
no you dont have to change the main
so if i wanted to take off the choke on my 250ex i would have to rejet the pilot?
You dont have to, but its a good idea to, so when its cold out your motor will start alot easier. On a 300 stock is a 38, so I put in a 42, cuz its going to be getting cold soon here, it seems to idle very well now. And I noticed a little bit of improved throttle response after removing the choke.
