Those types of charts are mostly for commercial mechanics who use plugs to figure out why a tractor or something isn't running. They are of little to no use to performance engine enthusiasts who are trying to figure out if they need a 160 or 170 main jet (or whatever).
It's not bad information, it's just not particularly applicable for tuning our ATV engines. See my last post in THIS THREAD.
yea.. but its a good place to start.. i would never just go by the plug alone.. but does help to keep you in the close range of the right jet size..
i believe thats more for cars because if your plug is light brown that means your running to peak performance on a 2 stroke engine.
