and Bryan Cook, to make up our seven pro riders.

When the green flag went up, Jeff Maloney took the holeshot aboard his Honda all the way from the outside. Second coming around the turn was Bryan Cook, but when Maloney was edging over to the inside line, Cook slammed on brakes to avoid being hit by Maloney's rear tires. Coming up alongside Cook was Gary Bryson and Mike Houston, allowing both to get by when Cook lost momentum.
