Don't need to take anything off to get to the main jet. The 17mm cap on the bottom of the float bowl is for main jet access.
do u have to take the carb totally off or could u just turn it around and do u have to take the gas tank off too.
Like GPracer stated, NOTHING needs to be removed or moved other than the 17mm plug on the bottom of the carb bowl to access the main jet.Quote:

The jet itself will require a 6mm socket to be removed. Do not over tighten when replacing.
do them four screws on the float bowl come off easy or not, cus i dont want to strip them or break them off in any way.
the heads strip out pretty easy, if your going to take the bowl off then you need to take the carb. off 1st so that you can have it off in a position to work on so you won't mess the screws up.Quote:

Those four screws do not need to be removed if you're just changing the main jet.
If you want to change the pilot jet jet then they do need to be removed. Removing the carb wil make this much easier.
well can u guys show me a pic on how to change the main jet then im alittle confused, i thought u had to take out the four screws to access the main jet.
never mind about the pic, i saw the bolt u take out,so u just take the bolt out and you should see the main jet RIGHT then you just unscrew the main jet correct.
Correct. The main jet will be difficult to actually 'see', just feel around carefully with the 6mm socket till it fits over the jet and unscrew.Quote:
