I was just wondering what race fuel you all are running in your racing minis?
VP C12 with Belray H1R. Makes her run FAST.
Phillips 66 111 Octane with Maxima Super M
Trick and Belray for us as well :)
1st you will want to know your compression.
up to 150 and 93 octane is all that's needed.
150-190 and a mix of 3 gallons 110 and 2 gallons 93 for a target octane of 105.
Above 190 and 110 octane is recommended.
I like synthetic oils. My favorites in order are::
Torco GP-7 (torcousa.com)
Klotz R-50
Maxima SuperM
I ran Torco fuel (104 octane) but I bought it in 55 gallon drums. I use whatever fuel I can find now.
Phillips 111 or 118 octane mixed 50, 50 with regular 87 octane, maxima super m
on a 110cc stroker with 180 lbs of compression and have had no problems in 3 years, oh and mixed at 50 to 1

VP 110 mixed 50/50 with pump and MC-1 at 50:1
mark,
question for you. we are running the same fuel from the same place. I was wondering why mix though? Whats the reasoning behind that?
thanks
dodge
yep same place. i mix because i really dont need but about 102 octane. so by mixing the 111 or 118 with 87 i get about 102 and save money. billy told me not to mix with premium because there is some kind of addative in it that is not in regular. he says that addative is not good for our motors. actually i mix 3 gallons 111 to 2 gallons 87 which comes out to 103 octane. dont know why i put 50, 50 above.

Well let me ask then if running straight 111 am i getting too much detonation in reality or just wasting some money?
